Hezbollah strikes Israeli army base near border

Hezbollah, the Lebanese militant group, claimed responsibility for attacking an Israeli army base near the border, resulting in 14 soldiers being wounded.

This incident is part of an ongoing exchange of fire between Israel and Hezbollah since October 7, when Hamas, a Palestinian ally of Hezbollah, attacked southern Israel, leading to conflict in the Gaza Strip.

This recent attack by Hezbollah on Arab al-Aramshe, a village in northern Israel, marked the third consecutive day of strikes causing injuries in Israel.

In retaliation, Israeli forces targeted areas in eastern Lebanon, including a warehouse in Iaat.

Hezbollah reported one person lightly wounded in the strike. The Israeli military confirmed 14 soldiers were wounded, some seriously.

Hezbollah stated that the attack was in response to Israel’s assassination of resistance fighters in Ain Baal and Shehabiya.

The violence has resulted in casualties on both sides, with civilians fleeing their homes amid fears of escalating conflict between Hezbollah and Israel.
