Hira Khan criticizes Saba Faisal for overemphasizing the significance of having sons

Actress Hira Khan strongly criticized senior showbiz figure Saba Faisal for her controversial remarks, which appeared to favor having sons over daughters.

Saba Faisal recently appeared on a popular morning show hosted by Nida Yasir, where she expressed her views on the importance of having a son compared to a daughter in a family.

She also discussed her sister’s attitude towards her son, which she found bothersome and sometimes led her to prioritize maintaining complete silence.

During the interview, Saba shared, “My younger sister, after facing various issues associated with sons, used to express relief for not having sons.

But now, her husband has passed away, and her daughters live abroad.

Recently, she called me in great distress after her car broke down suddenly. I suggested she sell it as it was causing mental harm.

So, the point here is that when you have a son, they are there for you anytime, or even if they are not physically present, the idea of having a son makes you feel great.

So, I just want to say to those who have only daughters, express gratitude but never feel blessed for not having sons.”

Saba Faisal’s remarks have angered junior actress Hira Khan, who expressed her disapproval on her latest Instagram post.

Hira stated regarding Saba Faisal’s interview on her social media story: “Stunned by the audacity and stupidity.”

In response, Saba Faisal replied to Hira Khan with patience, writing: “Hira, gaining life experience is essential to discuss such matters.”

Saba Faisal’s daughter, Sadia Faisal, also criticized Hira Khan for her strong words, stating on her Instagram post: “Everyone has the right to speak their mind! I am stunned by your words! Show some respect for senior artists in your industry.”

Hira responded to Sadia with a brief explanation: “In a country where newborn girls are killed simply because they are not boys, and where women are often seen as burdens, it’s not acceptable for someone as influential as Saba Ji to make statements like these. I respect her talent, but this is not acceptable.”

Sadia replied again to Hira’s response, stating: “You are misinterpreting her words; what she meant had nothing to do with what you mentioned. Let’s keep the peace, please.”
