Imran & facilitators created timetable before new Chief Justice, Maryam Nawaz

When judges were taking oath under PCO and LFO, elected prime minister was taken to court with handcuffs, says PML-N Chief Organizer

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Organiser and Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz has said that Imran Khan and his facilitators have kept a timeline that if the next Chief Justice has to come in September then do whatever facilitation has to be done before that, the whole nation is watching this spectacle.

Addressing the PML-N lawyers convention in Rawalpindi, Maryam Nawaz said that in the 76-year history of Pakistan, there has been 40 years of dictatorship. She said that no elected Prime Minister has ever completed term in office whereas four dictators remained in power for 10-10 years due to bullying, but no court ever dared to stand in front of any dictator.

She said that Nawaz Sharif was expelled from office after false cases were filed against him. Ironically, she said, they kept removing elected prime ministers, but bowed down to power and dictators. She said that no court has ever shown enough courage to question a dictator.

The PML-N leader said that when judges were taking oath under the PCO and LFO, the elected prime minister was taken to the court with handcuffs in his hands.

“Your emphasis is only on the prime ministers of the people? Has anyone ever seen a dictator get the title of Sicilian Mafia, Godfather? You never dared to block the path of dictatorship when you blocked the path of elected prime minister and democracy,” she added.

Maryam Nawaz also said that whenever the dictators were expelled, that was done by the lawyers and the public.

She said that when the hearing of the election case was going on in the apex court, it was heard that the Chief Justice became emotional. She said that “you should have been emotional even when the elected Prime Minister was removed from the office.”

Maryam Nawaz said that Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, who refused to be held hostage by general retired Faiz and stood as a wall in front of the then DG ISI, said that he would not do injustice and retired, but his case is still hanging in the Supreme Judicial Council.

“I want to tell the Chief Justice that it is a matter of great pride to go to jail for an ideology or principle, I have been in the gallows twice but did not cry or regret one day because I knew that the path of truth is never easy.

PML-M Chief Organizer said that those who have no rules, no mission, no principles, they do not come out from under the bed.
