Imran Khan secures protective bail in NAB cases

Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday granted protective bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) cases.

Imran Khan had submitted a petition for protective bail in two NAB-filed cases against him. The petition was considered by a two-person bench presided over by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi.

PTI Chairman claimed that he was unable to distribute tickets because he was spending all of his time in court after the election date was announced.

“In a single month around 100 FIRs had been filed against me,” he stated. Subsequently, the judge granted him a 10-day bail.

Earlier, the PTI Chairman appeared before the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday for protective bail in two cases under terrorism charges in Islamabad.

The former prime minister filed a protective bail application in two cases of Islamabad (cases registered in Golra police station and CTD) after which the court had ordered him to appear at 2:15 pm today.
