India cricketer Rishabh Pant hospitalized after horrific car crash

India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant was hospitalized after being involved in a car accident on Friday.

Multiple accounts in Indian media said that Pant was the only one in the car when it hit a road divider and caught fire.

The Indian media reports further stated that the wicketkeeper had head, back, and leg injuries.

The crash, according to his IPL side Delhi Capitals, occurred in the state of Uttarakhand in the north.

In a tweet, they stated, “Rishabh Pant met with an accident between Manglaur and Narsan in Haridwar district.” After receiving initial care in a hospital in Roorkee, he has now been transferred to one in Dehradun.

Pant was a member of the Indian Test team that defeated Bangladesh 2-0 this month. He was left off of their ODI and Twenty20 squads for their upcoming matches against Sri Lanka.
