Indian Charge d’Affaires summoned to register protest against air space violation

Pakistan on Friday registered a strong protest and summoned Indian Charge d’Affaires (Cd’A) for the violation of Pakistani air space, said an official statement by the Foreign Office.

The ‘super-sonic flying object’ violated Pakistan’s air space on March 9, 2022 from Suratgarh India. The object fell near Mian Chunnu and created a panic amongst people.

It also caused damage to civilian property and put human lives at risk.

The statement also said that due to the invasion of this flying object, many domestic and international flight paths were compromised and it could end up in a major accident.

Pakistan has asked the Indian authorities for a thorough and transparent investigation of the incident and demanded that the outcome must be shared with Pakistan.

Pakistan also demanded that the authorities should be careful in the future about the consequences of such incidents.

According to a statement by the director general of Inter-Services Public Relations on Thursday, a high speed flying object was picked up inside Indian territory on March 9, 6:43pm. The DG ISPR said that the object ‘suddenly maneuvered’ towards Pakistani territory from its initial course and fell near Mian Channu at 6:50pm.
