Indians and IsraeIis also among PTI’s donors: Khawaja Asif

Defence minister calls ECP decision historic

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has alleged that Indians and Israelis were also among the donors of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, following the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision in the prohibited funding case.

Addressing a press conference with Federal Minister Ayaz Sadiq, Khawaja Asif said that the ECP had given a historic decision. He added that the stance of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was that the law should be equal for all.

Accusing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of foreign funding, he further said that Indians and Israelis were also among the donors of PTI. He added that the decision of ECP would become as a milestone.

Khawaja Asif said that Imran Khan has been used to blame us for foreign conspiracy whereas he himself submitted false affidavit.

The defence minister added that PTI government had carried out one-sided actions whereas Imran had been getting money himself, but blamed others.

Talking about the criticism of the ECP by PTI, he said that the chief election commissioner (CEC) was appointed by Imran Khan’s government and that the PTI chairman used to praise the CEC in the past.

He said that Sheikh Rasheed was saying that the decision had come in [Imran Khan’s] favor but if it was so, then why were they challenging it?
