Iranian President’s visit was pre-planned, says Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson

The planned visit of the Iranian President to Pakistan was the culmination of extensive preparations spanning several days, affirmed Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, the spokesperson of Pakistan’s Foreign Office, during a special discussion on a private news channel.

Baloch emphasized that the groundwork for this visit had been underway for quite some time, a testament to the robust relations between the two nations.

Highlighting the strategic importance of the visit, Baloch underscored the shared challenges faced by Pakistan and Iran, foremost among them being terrorism. The recent tensions between the two countries necessitated dialogue and cooperation, which the visit aimed to foster.

Furthermore, Baloch shed light on the numerous agreements inked between Pakistan and Iran, signaling a commitment to long-term collaboration. These agreements, she noted, paved the way for a comprehensive roadmap that would soon translate into tangible actions, addressing mutual concerns and bolstering bilateral ties.

Addressing security matters, Baloch reiterated the significance of Pakistan and Iran’s united front against terrorism. The ongoing dialogue and collaboration underscored the strength of their relationship and their joint commitment to combating security threats effectively.

Touching upon economic discussions, Baloch highlighted talks with both Saudi Arabia and Iran, emphasizing Pakistan’s dedication to fostering positive relations across the board.
