Om Fahad, a well-known figure on Iraqi social media, tragically lost her life in Baghdad when an unidentified gunman on a motorbike opened fire on her outside her home.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage online, prompting an investigation by the Iraqi interior ministry.
Fahad gained fame on TikTok for her dance videos but had encountered legal issues due to content that authorities deemed inappropriate.
She had also been involved in disputes with other social media personalities, including Dalia Naeem, who reportedly threatened to expose Fahad’s alleged connections with high-ranking officials.
Last year, Fahad was sentenced to six months in jail for posting content considered to be morally objectionable.
