Jeevan Nagar: a comical satire!

Kashif Nisar directed Jeevan Nagar, a Green Entertainment production, and Awais Ahmad
wrote it..

The drama centres around the protagonists Munni (Rabia Butt) and Babar Shah (Sohail
Ahmad).

Babar Shah plays a double role-‘a man who is the iron curtain between corrupt goons and
innocent people of his town.’ Babar Shah is also called Lali. He is a hijra.

The latest episode unveiled they murdered the real Babar Shah and someone took on his
identity..

As Munni settles in Jeevan Nagar, a fictional town, she falls for Babar Shah, asking him to
call her Munni and not baji.

The drama is a romance between Munni and Babar Shah.

Munni doesn’t know of Babar Shah’s real identity. She falls for the man Babar Shah and
isn’t aware of the fact that he’s a hijra.

The cinematography of the drama is fantastic, and Babar Shah’s acting is unparalleled.
Babar Shah delivers his role with a finesse and skill that is unmatched.

He delivers his double role spontaneously. It doesn’t seem contrived at all.

The scene where Munni tells Babar that she has 22 children is hilarious. It sends the
audience squealing with laughter as the fake Babar Shah asks her how she’s given birth to
22 children at such a young age. Of course, we understand Munni is talking of her
students!

The drama is a comical satire on the ills, society is ridden with. It sends across the
message that it must protect the minorities and underprivileged people at all costs.

To conclude, Jeevan Nagar is a drama full of gravity and humour. The serious issues are
brushed upon with a layer of humour and a touch of salt! A great watch indeed!, Jeevan
Nagar wins the hearts of the viewers!

A social media user wrote, “after a very long time, I watched a drama without skipping.”

Another social media user wrote, “The show is giving old dramas vibes.” Another fan
wrote, “I love the adorable expressions of Rabia Butt”

It is indeed a refreshing drama with comedy and thrill. Hats off to the entire cast and crew
for coming up with such a bold and gripping drama production.

Jeevan Nagar deserves applause and appreciation! A must watch, it should definitely be
on your bucket list.
