Senior journalist Ayaz Amir’s daughter-in-law was allegedly killed by her husband in Chak Shehzad, Islamabad, according to local media.
On Thursday, according to early reports, a woman was murdered in Chak Shehzad within the area of Shehzad Town Police Station, Islamabad. She was later identified as the daughter-in-law of the senior journalist Ayaz Amir, as per local media reports.
According to Islamabad police, a man named Shah Nawaz killed his wife Sara at home due to some arguments. Senior police officers and forensic teams reached the spot and took Shah Nawaz into custody.
Islamabad police in a statement on Twitter said that the investigation into the incident is ongoing and that whatever facts emerge will be shared with the public.
Ayaz Amir while talking to journalists outside the crime scene said that this incident was heart-shattering and he prays that such a thing never happens to anyone. He said that the investigation is going on and he is not able to bare the trauma of the incident.
