Key stops of 2024 Paris Olympics torch relay in Greece

The sacred flame destined for the Paris 2024 Olympics, set to be ignited in Olympia on Tuesday, will embark on a journey across Greece before its arrival in France on April 27.

The torch relay will showcase various destinations, including the southern Peloponnese peninsula, with stops at Methoni and Koroni castles, the ancient citadel of Mycenae, Sparta, Nafplio, as well as visits to islands like Kastellorizo, Crete, Santorini, and other Aegean islands, culminating in Athens.

From there, it will travel to Delphi and then through central and northern Greece, visiting Volos, Larissa, Thessaloniki, Ioannina, Meteora, Vergina, and Corfu.

Finally, it will return to the Athens area before being handed over to Paris 2024 organizers at the Panathenaic Stadium on April 26.

The flame will then depart for France aboard the historic Belem on April 27, arriving in Marseille on May 8.
