Actress Kiara Advani, known for her role in “Don 3,” has reportedly been cast as the female lead alongside Prabhas in “Salaar 2.”
According to Bollywoodhungama’s report on Thursday, director Prashanth Neel has chosen Advani to star opposite Prabhas in the sequel to the blockbuster “Salaar: The Ceasefire.”
Additionally, Advani will feature in a special song with Prabhas in the film.
While Shruti Haasan played the female lead in the first installment released in December 2023, reports indicate that Advani has been included in the cast of “Salaar Part 2: Shouryaanga Parvam.”
Haasan, on the other hand, has secured a role in BAFTA Award-winning director Philip John’s rom-com film “Chennai Story,” according to a report by the US entertainment news agency Variety.
The film revolves around a boy searching for his father after his mother’s demise, with Shruti Haasan portraying the role of detective Anu.
Meanwhile, Kiara Advani is currently involved in several projects, including S Shankar’s action drama “Game Changer” alongside Ram Charan.
She has also been enlisted in YRF’s spyverse and is presently filming the highly-anticipated “War 2” with Hrithik Roshan.
Additionally, she is set to star in “Don 3,” marking her first collaboration with Ranveer Singh.
Reportedly, Advani will be receiving a staggering fee of INR 130 million for Farhan Akhtar’s film, surpassing her compensation for “War 2” with Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR.
“Salaar Part 1: The Ceasefire” featured Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, and Sriya Reddy alongside Prabhas and Shruti Haasan.
The film grossed over INR 5 billion worldwide, prompting the confirmation of a sequel that will explore the transformation of Prabhas and Prithviraj’s characters amid Khansaar’s political upheaval.
