The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has passed a bill on salaries, perks and privileges of ministers amid uproar by the opposition.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has also approved the bill related to the use of government helicopters clause by clause.

Ministers’ Salaries and Privileges Bill has legalized the use of government helicopters since 2008 and the use of helicopters since 2008 will not be considered illegal.

The opposition has demanded the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor not sign the bill and said that it was an illegal bill and the governor should send the bill back.

Opposition member Inayatullah has said that the government was protecting the use of helicopters like rickshaws. He said that a bill was being passed regarding the use of helicopters for entertainment.
