Magnitude 3.2 earthquake rattles Karachi

An earthquake measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale shook Karachi, often referred to as the “city of lights,” on Wednesday evening, causing tremors in several areas of the city.

The seismic event, originating from a depth of 12 kilometers, was particularly felt in Quaidabad, Malir, and Saadi Town, prompting concern among residents.

Despite the quake’s intensity, there have been no reports of casualties or property damage from any part of the city or its surrounding areas.

Following the earthquake, people emerged from their homes in a state of panic, with some resorting to reciting verses from the Holy Quran. However, no loss of life or property has been reported from any part of the city as a result of the earthquake.
