The President of Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam (JUI), Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, has reached out to Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
During the exchange, Fazl-ur-Rehman extended his condolences on the tragic loss of Ismail Haniyeh’s sons and grandsons. Additionally, as per Fazl-ur-Rehman’s directives, Rashid Somro met with Ismail Haniyeh in Qatar to deliver Fazl-ur-Rehman’s letter of condolence.
The letter expresses the solidarity of the Pakistani people with their Palestinian brothers and sisters, condemning the Israeli oppression which will be highlighted in JUI’s gatherings.
Fazl-ur-Rehman criticized the silence of the Muslim world and the United Nations in the face of the Palestinian martyrdom, reaffirming JUI’s unwavering support for the people of Palestine.
Ismail Haniyeh expressed gratitude to Fazl-ur-Rehman for speaking up for the Palestinians and conveyed the appreciation of the people of Gaza for the assistance provided by the Pakistani people during the conflict.
