    There are many myths and speculations about the luxurious lifestyle of Pakistan Army officers. These misunderstandings and lies are part of the propaganda which aims to pollute the minds of the Pakistani people, so as to create a rift between the army and the people.     Facts about Pakistan Army officers

    In the military, more than 10% of officers do not reach the rank of Brigadier (BPS-20). In contrast, about 70% of officers in civil organizations retire after reaching BPS-20.
    Only 2% of Pakistan Army officers reach the rank of Major General and even fewer, i.e., 0.4%, reach the rank of Lieutenant General, solely based on their professional skills. Contrary to the popular belief that only the sons of generals can become generals, several generals such as General Musharraf, General Jahangir Karamat, General Waheed Kakar, General Aslam Beg, and General Ziaul Haq, had no family connection with the military sector.

    Military officers pay water, electricity, and gas bills without any discount.
    Income tax is deducted from the salary of all army officers, equivalent to two months’ salary per year.

    If a military officer is allotted government accommodation, they do not receive house rent as a salary.

    No officer below the rank of Brigadier is authorized to own an official vehicle, and the private use of an official vehicle is prohibited.

      • No. it is true. I have been in the army bases and cantts and my father also has been retired from Airforce. its same for all defence forces. We had to pay water, house rent along with taxes deduction. BTW I’m a student not any army men.
