Nawaz Sharif angry over bringing lion in PML-N rally

Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) leader and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed strong disapproval of the inclusion of a lion in the party’s political campaign rally in Lahore.

Nawaz Sharif, a three-time former prime minister, is set to lead an election rally in the NA-130 Lahore constituency. PML-N spokesperson and former federal minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, addressing the issue, stated that Nawaz Sharif has instructed to promptly send the lion back.

In a tweet, she mentioned, “The lion was immediately sent back as Nawaz Sharif directed that the lion or any other animal should not be brought to any rally.”

Quoting Nawaz Sharif, she added, “The religion of Islam and laws related to animals have taught us to respect the rights of animals.”

Nawaz Sharif is contesting from the National Assembly Constituency 130, while Maryam Nawaz is running for NA-119 Lahore in the upcoming general polls.
