Overseas Pakistanis in UK anticipate PML-N victory in elections

Overseas Pakistanis all over the world, in general, and those living in the UK, in particular, feel that the upcoming general elections will witness the victory of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), paving the way for the country to resume its development path, which was interrupted in 2017.

This sentiment was expressed by Abid Hussain, an activist of PML-N’s UK chapter and the Managing Director of CINI Energy, a UK-based company offering environmentally friendly (green) sustainable battery energy storage solutions globally.

Mr Abid Hussain said that a recent rally organized by PML-N’s UK chapter in London drew hundreds of attendees, commemorating the birth anniversaries of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Mian Nawaz Sharif. The event showed that the PML-N was the only political party, which had roots among overseas Pakistanis.

An honours graduate in Law with postgraduate studies in Leadership and Management, Mr Abid Hussain expressed confidence that Nawaz Sharif has the capability to navigate Pakistan out of the ongoing financial and energy crises. He asserted that Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is the saviour and builder of Pakistan, having initiated numerous projects that contributed to the country’s development.

Abid Hussain praised Nawaz Sharif’s economic team, led by Ishaq Dar, and emphasized the trust of overseas Pakistanis in the leader. He stated, “A leader is known by his vision and team, and Nawaz Sharif is blessed with both powers.”

He said Mr Dar is known for economic stabilization, debt management, infrastructure development and capital market development.

During his first term as Finance Minister (1998-1999), Dar is credited with stabilizing the economy after a period of turmoil, reducing inflation and boosting foreign reserves. He negotiated crucial IMF agreements and implemented structural reforms.
