Pakistan officially bans Zainebiyoun Brigade

The Pakistani government has formally declared the Zainebiyoun Brigade, a militant group associated with the Shia faith, as a security threat to the nation.

According to the Khorasan Diary, this banned organization has received support from Iran.

Former Senator Faisal Raza Abidi made a noteworthy claim during a talk show on GTV, stating, “Out of the 40,000 fighters from Hezbollah and Zainebiyoun Brigade who have reached Jerusalem, 233 are Pakistani fighters from areas such as Parachinar.”

In a notification issued on March 29 by Pakistan’s Interior Ministry, it was stated that the activities of the Zainebiyoun Brigade posed a threat to the peace and security of the country.

Under the provisions of the Anti-terrorism Act of 1997, the government has designated it as a proscribed organization.

The outlawed group has been known for its involvement in the conflict in the Middle East, particularly for providing support to the forces of Bashar-ul-Asad in Syria.

Authorities have been closely monitoring the group’s activities due to concerns about its capabilities.
