Pakistani users could earn from Facebook now, Bilawal announces

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Pakistan’s Facebook users will be able to get compensation for their creations after monetization due to the new feature star.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari visited Meta’s (Facebook) Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore and met with company representatives.

Bilawal has said in his video message on Twitter that Pakistan has received another honour. He has said that now users with Pakistani identity cards will also be able to make their creations (content) a source of income from Meta Company’s app Facebook.

He stated on Twitter, “BIG NEWS for Pakistan from Meta in Singapore. From now on Pakistani creators on Facebook can earn money from their content through new Facebook stars feature. Thrilled to be the first Pakistan official to visit Meta & get to share this news with you. Thanks, team meta for inviting me.”

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari further said in his video message that Meta would soon invest in Pakistan while the “Stars Program” has also been started for monetization in Pakistan. Meta is the company that owns Instagram and Facebook.

Foreign Minister also said that under the “Stars Program” any Pakistani users who will share their creations on Facebook in the form of videos and the viewers will get money according to the number of stars they give them.

Bilawal Bhutto also expressed hope that Pakistani youth would take advantage of this opportunity to use social media platforms for positive work and increase their income. He further said that women could benefit the most from this facility by increasing their income while sitting at home.
