Pakistan’s consulate in Dubai remains closed today

The Pakistan consulate in Dubai is closed due to the heavy rainfall that has engulfed the city. This closure means that consular services will not be available until tomorrow, April 18th. The rainfall has been so severe that it has broken a 75-year record in some parts of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

As a response to the challenging weather conditions, the Dubai government has initiated remote learning in schools and instructed employers to allow their employees to work from home. This proactive approach aims to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents amidst the unprecedented rainfall.

Despite the closure of the consulate and the disruptions caused by the heavy rain, there is some relief as the rainfall has stopped, and the drainage systems in various areas are functioning properly. Efforts are underway to normalize the situation and mitigate any further impact on people’s lives.

The heavy rain began last night, catching many by surprise and necessitating swift action from local authorities to manage the situation effectively.
