PCB, Cricket Australia reach agreement to prevent PSL and BBL clashes

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Cricket Australia have successfully reached a scheduling arrangement for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the Big Bash League (BBL).

Salman Naseer, PCB Chief Operating Officer, revealed that future clashes between the PSL and the BBL had been averted as a result of productive contacts with Cricket Australia in recent months.

The agreement’s primary goal is to ensure the availablity of a larger pool of players for both leagues.

Naseer expressed gratitude to Cricket Australia, recognizing the problem of scheduling conflicts as a result of the development of cricket leagues around the world.

“We have reached a principle understanding with Cricket Australia about ensuring that there won’t be any clashes as far as BBL and PSL is concerned in the future,” stated the COO.

The meetings also touched on player availability and workload management, with both boards pledging to help each other maintain a healthy player pool for both the PSL and the BBL.

Additionally, future plans to send Pakistan’s men’s, women’s, and U-19 teams to Australia to facilitate their adaptation to the playing conditions in that region were also discussed.
