Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) declared on Saturday its decision to restart its eagerly anticipated flight service linking Dubai and Skardu, with operations slated to commence from April 29, 2024.
Initially launched on August 14 of the preceding year, the Dubai-Skardu route garnered considerable attention due to its potential to enhance tourism and strengthen regional connectivity.
However, the advent of winter led to the suspension of flights, as the challenging weather conditions in Skardu posed safety concerns for air travel.
Undeterred by this temporary setback, PIA has reiterated its dedication to serving passengers and promoting tourism in the area by announcing the resumption of flight operations.
This initiative is expected to revitalize the tourism sector in Skardu, celebrated for its breathtaking mountains, pristine lakes, and unparalleled natural splendor.
