PM Shehbaz criticizing Imran Khan compares PTI to RSS

If anyone has any question, Imran’s actions have put exposed his fascist & militant proclivities, says premier

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has compared Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to the extremist Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as police and Imran Khan’s party members clashed on Saturday.

The prime minister tweeted, “If anyone had any question, Imran Niazi’s actions over the last several days have put exposed his fascist & militant proclivities.”

“He has taken a page out of the RSS book, from employing people as human shields to throwing petrol bombs at police to leading ‘jathas’ to frighten courts,” he stated.

Law enforcement has been conducting sporadic operations at Zaman Park since March 14 and conflicts there have resulted in several injuries to police officers and PTI supporters. More than 35 PTI supporters have been detained by the police during an operation at Zaman Park who was allegedly involved in unlawful activities.

The PTI workers also burned police cars and threw Molotov cocktails at officers and Rangers personnel in an effort to prevent authorities from apprehending Khan.

The statement from the prime minister came a day after Maryam Nawaz, senior vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), said that the government should treat the Imran Khan-led PTI as a terrorist organization and that it was too late to sit down and negotiate with the ousted prime minister.

The PML-N leader attacked the former premier for making a “scene” at his Zaman Park home and said Khan declared a “revolt against the state institutions” at a scathing news conference in Lahore.
