Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senator Irfan Siddiqui praised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, calling him a “national hero.”
During a Senate session, Siddiqui shared his thoughts: “The PTI founder has a large fan base. I don’t support arresting political leaders. Governments may change, but values and traditions should remain consistent.”
He added, “If the opposition can engage with Mahmood Achakzai and Maulana Fazlur Rehman, why can’t they engage with us? We respect the opposition as well.”
However, Siddiqui also pointed out that some PTI members had made controversial statements. He mentioned that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur had previously talked about attacking Islamabad.
