In the Gulistan-e-Jauhar neighborhood of Karachi, a police official who was engaged in the murder of Mufti Abdul Qayyum has been detained.
According to the authorities, police intelligence worker Mohammad Atiq provided information about the murder of mufti Abdul Qayyum. The accused police officer Atiq’s photograph and identification papers have been acquired by Geo News.
Officials claim that the accused saw the murder take place right in front of him on a CCTV camera, that Mufti Abdul Qayyum was also murdered in front of the accused Atiq’s home, and that the accused and the policeman Atiq had spoken before the murder.
Atiq was recently moved to the Federal Investigation Agency, according to police sources.
According to police authorities, the accused Atiq had instructed the assassins to murder two more persons.
On March 21, Mufti Abdul Qayyum was shot and killed in Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
The culprit and Mufti Abdul Qayyum had a property disagreement, according to police authorities.
