PPP has no objection to PTI-military leadership talks: Kundi

Faisal Karim Kundi, the Central Information Secretary of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), stated on Saturday that his party had no issues regarding discussions with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the military leadership.

During a press conference, Kundi mentioned, “The PTI has five distinct factions, each with its own agenda. Some of the people that the PTI has allowed to return to the country are involved in terrorism.”

He added that “The PTI wants to gain favor with those serving in the military, while simultaneously targeting retired personnel.”

Kundi emphasized that “Talks with PTI will only be possible if they admit their mistakes and apologize for the incidents that occurred on May 9.”

Regarding PPP’s role in the government, Kundi stated, “The decision to join the cabinet is up to the PPP’s Central Executive Committee. The PPP is not in a rush and has no immediate plans to join the cabinet.”
