President Zardari urges Turkish companies to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan

President Asif Ali Zardari has emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Turkiye across various sectors including trade, economy, education, and culture.

 

During a meeting with the Ambassador of Turkiye to Pakistan, Dr. Mehmet Pacaci, President Zardari highlighted the investment-friendly environment in Pakistan and encouraged Turkish companies to take advantage of the country’s policies, particularly in the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

President Zardari underscored the deep-rooted historical ties between Pakistan and Turkiye, noting the unwavering support and solidarity shared between the two nations during challenging times.

Recognizing Turkiye’s expertise in infrastructure development, President Zardari suggested collaboration to leverage Turkey’s experience in this field for Pakistan’s benefit. He proposed initiating a joint feasibility study to explore the establishment of a railway connection, aiming to enhance regional connectivity between the two countries.

Moreover, President Zardari emphasized the significance of enhancing educational and cultural exchanges to strengthen people-to-people ties. He expressed Pakistan’s eagerness to host Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during the upcoming 7th High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council session in Pakistan.
