Project underway to sell ad space on moon

New York: An American space start-up is forging ahead with a project to sell advertising space on the moon after striking a deal with a creative agency.

Based in California, Astrolib has already sealed a deal with SpaceX under which it will send its innovative starship rocket to deploy its own rover the size of a jeep on the surface of Earth’s natural satellite.

The Flex Moon Rover could potentially launch as early as the beginning of 2026 although both the starship rocket and the lunar rover are still in the preparation stages.

Through a partnership agreement between Astrolib and the Agency Group of Humans brands will have the opportunity to advertise on the lunar surface.

The Agency Group of Humans founder Rob Noble explained to international media that brands can capture attention by running their ads in places like space where there is no atmosphere and gravity is weak.

In extreme conditions by testing their products, you can learn and show customers how durable they are.

Astrolib claims that its rover is the largest and most capable rover to travel to the moon so far capable of carrying 1.5 tons of payload and traveling at speeds of up to 24 kilometres per hour.
