Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced that it was going to take a vote of confidence for the Chief Minister from the Punjab Assembly and a delegation will meet CM Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Monis Elahi to decide the date of the meeting.
Talking to the media outside Zaman Park Lahore, Fawad Chaudhry along with other PTI leaders said that a meeting of the senior leadership of Punjab was held under the leadership of Imran Khan which was attended by the Speaker of Punjab Assembly Sibtain Khan and others.
He said that in the meeting they will decide on which date the assembly session should be convened and a vote should be held for confidence in the Chief Minister so that the dissolution of the assemblies could be made possible.
Fawad Chaudhry said that at present all 177 members of PTI support Pervaiz Elahi and 10 members of PML-Q therefore accordingly they have 187 members besides the Speaker.
“The way the chief minister promised us after the trust vote, they are ready to dissolve the assembly and we will move towards the dissolution of the assembly,” he said.
He said that the country has been brought closer to bankruptcy and if you look at the bickering of their own finance ministers it will come to the knowledge that who has played with the economy. He said that terrorism had reached our capital while the incidents of terrorism in PTI time were almost non-existent.
He said that unfortunately the situation in Afghanistan has worsened and was getting worse but the Government of Pakistan has shown indifference in it due to which Pakistan has become unstable. He said that the way things were happening in Afghanistan and instability was increasing, Pakistan may have to pay a huge price for it.
He said that whenever they tell the Speaker that they will be coming to verify resignations he runs away. Now they have decided to keep a secret date and go without announcing and suppress the Speaker from the top.
