PTI’s concern over US Human Rights report

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has voiced its apprehension regarding a recent report issued by the US State Department concerning human rights in Pakistan.

During a press conference held on Saturday, PTI leader Rauf Hassan underscored the sensitivity of the issue of human rights.

“In its report for the year 2023, the US State Department has brought to light various instances of human rights violations in Pakistan. The report delves into a range of issues, including political arrests and legal cases,” he remarked.

Hassan emphasized the importance of addressing these concerns and ensuring that human rights are upheld across the nation. He stated that the PTI is committed to fostering an environment where the rights and dignity of every individual are respected and protected.

Additionally, he expressed the party’s willingness to engage in constructive dialogue and collaboration with relevant stakeholders to address any shortcomings identified in the report.

The PTI leader urged for a thorough examination of the issues highlighted in the report and called for concerted efforts to address them effectively. He affirmed the party’s stance on promoting transparency, accountability, and justice, stating that addressing human rights concerns is paramount to building a fair and equitable society.

Furthermore, Hassan reiterated the PTI’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that all citizens have access to justice and fundamental rights.
