PTI’s Marwat dismisses chance of reconciliation with authorities

Sher Afzal Marwat, a leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), firmly rejected the possibility of reconciliation with the ruling authorities on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media alongside PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan in Rawalpindi, Marwat emphasized that reconciliation could only occur if their electoral mandate was respected. He further stated that their meeting with the PTI founder was being documented.

Meanwhile, Barrister Gohar expressed his frustration with the legal proceedings concerning the PTI founder, suggesting that daily hearings could expedite his release from jail.

He criticized the slow progress of petitions in the Supreme Court, expressing dissatisfaction with the judicial system.

Marwat highlighted concerns about privacy, mentioning that their conversations had been recorded by jail officials.

On a separate note, PTI leader Sardar Latif Khosa expressed hope that the public would support his party in the upcoming by-elections.

Speaking in Lahore, Khosa referenced the challenges faced by farmers and the general populace in Sindh, while also criticizing the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for its perceived lack of democracy.
