Police said the child’s father, identified as 39-year-old Altaf Nadeem Sheikh, filed a complaint against his sister, Saniya Sheikh, and two other people in connection with the incident.

According to the complaint, the baby was allegedly subjected to the harmful act after the family dispute. The child’s mother, Zainab, reportedly became concerned when she noticed that her son was repeatedly vomiting and that his lips appeared to have become stuck together.

The family immediately sought medical assistance and took the infant to hospital. The baby was subsequently admitted to the intensive care unit, where doctors continued treatment.

Police have begun investigating the allegations and are examining the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities are also expected to establish what happened inside the family home and determine the involvement, if any, of the other people named in the complaint.

The incident has caused concern because of the age and vulnerability of the child. At just nine months old, the baby required urgent medical attention following the alleged exposure.
