Punjab govt reshuffles senior bureaucracy, appoints new commissioners and deputy commissioners

Lahore: The Punjab government on Wednesday announced a major reshuffle in the provincial bureaucracy, transferring and appointing several senior administrative officers with immediate effect.

Commissioner Lahore Maryam Khan has been transferred and directed to report to the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD). She will attend the National Security and War Course 2026–27.

Nauman Yousaf, currently serving as Special Secretary Budget, has been appointed as the new Commissioner Lahore.

Deputy Commissioner Sheikhupura Shahid Imran Marth has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Energy Department. Meanwhile, Rana Adeel Tasawur, Additional Secretary Health, has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner Sheikhupura.

Deputy Commissioner Mianwali Muhammad Asad Abbas Magsi has also been directed to report to S&GAD. Shahid Abbas Kathia, Chief Officer of the Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL), has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner Mianwali.

According to an official notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department, all transfers and postings have taken effect immediately.
