Punjab police excradites murder suspect Muhammad Tariq from Oman

Another dangerous fugitive wanted in murder case extradited from Oman.

Fugitive Muhammad Tariq shot and killed a citizen in Rajanpur last year and fled abroad.

Punjab Police issued a red notice from Interpol and eventually arrested the criminal from Oman.

The total number of fugitives arrested from foreign countries this year has become 147.

On the direction of Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, the crackdown of the Punjab Police is continuing against dangerous fugitives who have escaped abroad, and in this regard, another dangerous proclaimed offender who escaped abroad after killing a citizen, has been arrested and extradited from Oman.

According to the details, Muhammad Tariq shot and killed a citizen in Rajanpur last year and fled abroad. Punjab Police issued a red notice from Interpol and eventually arrested the criminal from Oman.The fugitive was extradited back to Pakistan and was taken into custody by the Rajanpur Police at Lahore Airport.

With the arrest of fugitive Muhammad Tariq, the total number of proclaimed offenders arrested from foreign countries this year has increased to 147. These criminals have been arrested from America, Great Britain, Europe, Africa, Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated the police team for tracing and arresting an A-category dangerous fugitive from abroad.IGP said that the crackdown should be intensified to arrest more dangerous fugitives wanted in serious crimes like murder, robbery, kidnapping. IGP Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar also said to ensure effective coordination with FIA, Interpol and other agencies. IG Punjab directed that RPOs, DPOs should personally monitor the arrest of dangerous fugitives involved in henious crimes.
