Riyadh: In the first three months of the current year, the commercial records of electronic game development activities in Saudi Arabia reached an impressive 4,371 marking an extraordinary 59% increase compared to the same period last year where the sector recorded approximately 2,742.
According to a report released by the Ministry of Commerce, Riyadh city accounted for almost 2,494 commercial records making it the city with the highest number of records in terms of commercial records.
Following Riyadh, the city of Makkah ranked second with 988 records while the Eastern Province ranked third with 478 commercial records.
Furthermore, Madina held the fourth position with 137 records while Al-Qasim ranked fifth with the lowest number of commercial records at 71.
It is evident that the market for electronic games is rapidly growing in Saudi Arabia reaching a volume of 3.75 billion riyals in 2023 with expectations to reach 10 billion riyals by 2026.
