Rizwan wins ICC men’s player of month award for September

Wicketkeeper and batter Muhammad Rizwan has been named the men’s player of the month for September 2022 by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Muhammad Rizwan, who is the No. 1 batter in the ICC T20 Internationals ranking, has continued his stunning form and show of skills with the bat to continue his domination in the T20 International format.

Rizwan has beaten Indian spinner Axar Patel and Australian all-rounder Cameron Green to become the ICC player of the month for September.

Rizwan, after winning the player of the month award, said that he wanted to thank Almighty Allah and his heartfelt delight to all those who had enabled him to achieve the award. Rizwan also appreciated his teammates for making things easy for him.

Wicketkeeper batter further said that confidence is boosted by such achievements and he was happy with his performance. Rizwan showed resolve to continue his momentum in Australia.

He dedicated his award to the flood affected people in Pakistan.

Muhammad Rizwan had scored seven fifties in the last 10 games. He scored 70+ against Hong Kong in the Asia Cup and later scored another fifty in the tournament. He was the leading run scorer in the tournament.

In the seven-match series against England, Rizwan scored a total of 316 runs at an average of 63.20 and the strike rate of 138.60.
