Rupee decline leads to further increase in dollar interbank rate

Karachi – Today witnessed a record increase in the value of the American currency compared to the Pakistani rupee in the interbank market.

On the second day of the trading week, the interbank market saw a rise of 17 paisas in the value of the US dollar resulting in the dollar closing at Rs. 278.29.

It is worth noting that before Eid, the dollar had closed at Rs. 278.12 in the interbank market on regular trading days.

Meanwhile, in the open market, the dollar is being traded at Rs. 279.80.
