Russia’s Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu expressed readiness to enhance military and technical collaboration with Iran during discussions with his Iranian counterpart Gharaei Ashtiani at a recent meeting, as reported by the international media news agency.
Shoigu highlighted the notable increase in communication between the military departments of the two nations.
The meeting took place within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) gathering in Kazakhstan, which includes Russia, India, China, Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
