Saima Akram Chaudhry is now a household name for her blockbuster family dramas such as “Suno Chanda” and “Chupke Chupke”, both of which have broken viewership records in the history of Pakistani drama industry. Now, the writer is coming up with another drama serial called “Kaala Doriya”, which like her previous works, will be tackling family issues in a light-hearted manner. “Kaala Doriya” takes its name from a popular Punjabi song, which is commonly heard at Pakistani weddings. This itself tells much about the themes the serial will be revolving around.
Since the project is in its initial stages, not much has been disclosed about it except that Sana Javed and Farhan Saeed will be playing the leading couple, and that it will go on air HUM TV under the banner of MD Productions.
The viewers’ curiosity is piqued, for Chaudhry’s humorous serials have always been a treat to watch amidst the multiple crises our world is in. Let’s hope the serial hits our screens very soon!
