Sethi assures to obey government’s suggestion on going to India

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Najam Sethi has assured that PCB will obey the government’s suggestion regarding going to India for next year’s ICC T20 World Cup.

“We will obey whatever the government would suggest to us and we will seek the government’s advice when the time arrives, similar to the last time I was the chairman,” he said.

Sethi stated that cricket issues in Pakistan and India are outside the control of the cricket boards and are always decided by the government.

He further added that for Asia Cup He will visit ACC and observe the situation and then will make a decision that is in the best interest of the game.

“We have to see what the other board’s position is, we have to play cricket with everyone, we will not take any step which can cause any isolation,” said Sethi.

Regarding Ramiz Raja, He said that there would be no gag on him and that he always respected him.

He also stated that the PCB had contacted Micky Arthur about a coaching position, but no deal had been made official as of yet.

Sethi stated that the Women League is a good idea but it has yet to be implemented and that he will work hard to promote women’s cricket.

The top PCB official went on to say that he and his team have been tasked with implementing the 2014 constitution and that they will complete the task in four months.
