Shah Rukh Khan to return as Don

Shah Rukh Khan is set to reprise his role as Don in his upcoming film, “King,” directed by Sujoy Ghosh.

However, in this movie, he will not portray the titular character in Farhan Akhtar’s “Don 3.”

According to a report by Pinkvilla, Khan will play the character of Don in “King,” which will also mark the theatrical debut of his daughter, Suhana Khan.

The film will be produced by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.

“Shah Rukh Khan is aware of the audience’s desire to see him in shades of grey.

‘King’ is his passion project, and he has been meticulously involved in all aspects of the film with Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh.

Together, they have crafted a character with a cool attitude and swag, layered with shades of grey for SRK in ‘King’,” a source stated.

Siddharth Anand is currently focusing on the action sequences with international stunt teams after finalizing the character design.

Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly overseeing the creative process and training with Suhana on modern action sequences.

Known for his negative roles, Khan has portrayed villainous characters in films like the 1993 romantic thriller “Darr,” Abbas-Mustan’s 1993 revenge thriller “Baazigar,” and the 1994 psychological thriller “Anjaam.”

One of his most iconic negative characters is Don in Farhan Akhtar’s crime thriller franchise.

Earlier reports suggested that Shah Rukh Khan has invested a significant sum of INR 2 billion in “King.”

Sujoy Ghosh and Siddharth Anand have collaborated to produce the action-packed film with a substantial budget.

The creative team of the movie has spent the past year focusing on pre-production planning, script development, and action sequences.

Additionally, talks are underway with internationally renowned stunt coordinators to join the “King” team.
