Peshawar: The court has sought answers from PTA, the government and relevant authorities regarding the suspension of X (Twitter) in response to a petition filed against its suspension.
Justice Ajaz Anwar and Justice Waqar Ahmed heard the petition against the suspension of X (Twitter) in the Peshawar High Court.
During the hearing, the court inquired from the petitioner why only X was suspended when other social media platforms are operational. The petitioner’s lawyer responded that X is a formal platform accessible to everyone.
The honourable judges remarked, “Why was X suspended? The Ministry of Interior did not provide reasons? It is essential to summon the Ministry of Interior and PTA for answers to ascertain why X was suspended.”
Subsequently, the Peshawar High Court while summoning PTA, the government and relevant authorities for answers adjourned further hearing of the case regarding the petition against the suspension of X (Twitter).
