Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasma actor goes missing

Gurucharan Singh, known for his role as Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular Indian sitcom “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,” has been reported missing while traveling from Delhi to Mumbai.

Singh’s father filed a complaint with the Delhi police stating that his son had been missing for over four days since departing from Delhi on April 22.

According to Singh’s father, the actor never reached Mumbai as planned after leaving for the airport to catch his flight.

Despite the family’s efforts to locate him, Singh remains unaccounted for.

Singh gained immense popularity for his portrayal in “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” but stepped away from the show a few years ago to prioritize his family, especially during his father’s health struggles.

Last year, the show faced controversy when producer Asit Kumar Modi and other key figures were accused of sexual and mental harassment by actor Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, known for her role as Mrs. Roshan Sodhi.

The Mumbai Police filed a case against the show’s makers based on Bansiwal’s complaint, but no arrests have been made yet.

Bansiwal ultimately quit the show in 2023 following the allegations against Modi and other members of the production team.
