US President Donald Trump has unveiled a list of 25 achievements from his administration as his Republican Party faces growing pressure ahead of the November midterm elections.
In a lengthy post on Truth Social on Friday, Trump highlighted his policies on immigration, foreign affairs, trade and the US economy. He presented the list as evidence of progress under his second administration.
Trump claimed that his government had established what he called the “most secure border in history.” He also said that no undocumented immigrants had been admitted to the United States over the past 16 months.
The president further claimed that his administration had significantly reduced refugee admissions from countries he described as dangerous. His administration has pursued a tough immigration policy that has included large-scale deportations and the transfer of some migrants to third countries.
Trump also listed his administration’s policy on language, claiming that English had been made the official language of the United States.
Foreign policy and the conflict with Iran featured prominently in his list. Trump claimed that US military action had destroyed Iran’s nuclear enrichment capabilities and would prevent Tehran from developing a nuclear weapon.
The United States and Israel launched strikes against Iran earlier this year, escalating tensions across the Middle East and contributing to wider economic uncertainty. Trump had previously campaigned on reducing US involvement in overseas conflicts.
The president also pointed to his tariff policies as a major achievement. He argued that imposing higher tariffs on trading partners would encourage companies to manufacture more goods in the United States and strengthen domestic industry.
Trump’s claims come as his administration faces political challenges before the November midterm elections. Recent polling cited by US media has indicated dissatisfaction over the Iran conflict and rising fuel and consumer prices.
