UN Climate Change Conference: PM Shehbaz will go to Egypt on November 7

Egypt, Pakistan will jointly chair conference

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will go to Egypt to take part in the United Nations International Conference on Climate Change on November 7 and 8 at the request of the Egyptian President.

Egypt and Pakistan will jointly chair the conference as chairman and vice-chairman respectively. The conference will take place in Egypt’s Sharm-el-Sheikh.

The climate change conference will continue from November 6 to November 18 and at the meeting over 90 heads of state and other delegations will participate.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will interact with leaders of several nations during the trip. He will also meet with the president of Egypt to discuss matters of common interest; such as enhancing ties between Pakistan and Turkey and also on working together to address the threat of climate change.

According to reports, Federal Minister for Climate Change Sherry Rehman will also accompany us during the visit.
