UN Security Council adjourns emergency session without any development

Following Iran’s attack on Israel, the emergency session of the UN Security Council was adjourned after formalities.

According to foreign news agencies, the Security Council will discuss the Israel-Iran conflict later. The emergency meeting was called at the request of Israel, in which Israel demanded that the Security Council condemn the attack by Iran and designate the Revolutionary Guards of Iran as a terrorist organization.

Addressing the emergency session of the Security Council, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that the use of force against the territorial integrity of any state is prohibited. The Middle East is on the brink of collapse, with the region facing the threat of catastrophic war. The time has come to show less stress and more patience.

At the meeting, US Deputy Representative to the United Nations Robert Wood said that the Security Council should condemn Iran’s aggressive actions, and the Security Council should stop attacks by Iran and its partners.
