Water supply to Karachi set resume from Hub Dam

The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) has announced that repairs have been completed at the Hub pumping station, and water supply to the city will resume as usual starting Tuesday morning.

A spokesperson for KWCS stated that the 66-inch diameter rising main at the Hub pumping station has been fixed. “The main is currently being charged, and water supply to the city will be back to normal by early Tuesday morning,” the spokesperson added.

The disruption in water supply occurred due to an unexpected power outage by K-Electric at the Hub Pumping Station on Saturday.

Upon receiving the information, KWSC staff promptly responded by assessing the affected line. KWSC Chief Operating Officer Engineer Asadullah Khan directed officials to expedite the restoration work on an emergency basis to minimize inconvenience for the residents.
