Amir described Sharma and Kohli as “world-class” players.

He also commended the talent of Saim Ayub and Mohammad Haris, noting their attacking batting style against pacers.

Amir underscored the significance of aggression in cricket, stating that it aids in maintaining focus during matches.

Regarding the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, set to be held jointly in the United States and West Indies, Amir expressed confidence in the Pakistani squad, suggesting it will be among the strongest contenders.

Acknowledging the expectations placed on him by management, fans, and the cricket system that facilitated his return to international cricket, Amir expressed his determination to perform well in the upcoming series against New Zealand, believing it will lead to further opportunities in the future.

Previously, Amir expressed gratitude to a Higher Power for his impending return to international cricket, sharing a photo on social media where he is seen wearing the Pakistan jersey again after nearly four years.

His last T20I match was against England on August 30, 2020.

The first of five T20Is between Pakistan and New Zealand will take place on April 18 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
